Matsushita goes tough with new laptops

Matsushita's new laptops have taken on a tough stance, with the T7, R7, and Y7 series being relies this October 19th while the W series will be made available on November 16th in Japan. All of them will boast a magnesium alloy that is highly durable, even against falls from up to 76cm in height. Hopefully the innards have been given adequate shock protection as well, as having something that looks nice from the outside with corrupted data on the inside would be counter-productive. These laptops will be powered by Intel's Santa Rosa platform and boast waterproof keyboards. There is no word on pricing details as at press time.

Hello all! I recently bought a new laptop to so I can report to my viewers from anywhere I want! I chose the Compaq Presario F700. I love the black/charcoal Grey sleek design. It is very light and fast being that it comes with an AMD Turion 64×2 processor and nvidea graphics card. It has a wide screen with a glossy finish, very beautiful design. Beauty and power wrapped into one fine piece of machinery.

So far after one weekend of use I am very happy with my decision. Although Windows Vista has already locked up my Firefox browser once, it’s all good. Looking to build on the success of its iPod and iPhone devices, Apple Inc. introduced several new products including an ultra-thin laptop computer, dubbed the Macbook Air, and a much-anticipated online movie rental service. The new Apple notebook computer’s major attribute is its sleek profile: it’s about three-quarters of an inch thick and weighs three pounds. The Macbook Air features a full-sized keyboard, a 13-inch screen, a built-in camera, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, all powered by an Intel Corp. dual core chip. Appearing on stage at the company’s Macworld expo, Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs said the computer, which he called “world’s thinnest notebook,” will cost $1,799 and is scheduled to ship in about two weeks. Ultramobile notebooks represent about 6% of the 270 million notebooks expected to the sold this year. Apple may benefit from good timing. Asus International Ltd.’s recently introduced Eee PC has topped sales charts at Amazon.com and is usually sold out at retail stores.

Amid the almost non-existance of current 15 inch MacBook Pro laptops, a new line of Apple notebooks believed to be nearing release have been spotted in both black and traditional aluminum enclosures, according to a new report.

The great Photoshop killer Pixelmator was released on Tuesday this week and it packs a punch.

New Dell XPS Pink Laptop

Following hot on the heels of Creative’s new pink Zen, which we post about yesterday, none other than Dell have today announced that its XPS M1530 and M1330 laptops are now available in pink, or, rather Flamingo Pink - will the pink gadget revolution ever end?

Inspired by Pantone’s report, which states that pink is one of the top ten hottest fashion colours for this Spring (we’ll bear that in mind for our new Spring wardrobe, not), the vice president of Dell’s global consumer business, Michael Tatelman, introduced the new pink XPS M1530 and M1330 stating that ‘it was an easy decision for us to add pink as an option to the XPS M1330, and M1530 since pink is the second most popular colour for our Inspiron laptops

The Satellite A305-S6858 features a special edition of Toshiba's "Fusion" finish, with exaggerated, almost cartoonish gray curves on a silver background and a modest Toshiba logo in the lower-right corner of the lid. The curves continue inside the case, slashing across the wrist rest and even across the touch pad, though the keyboard is a shiny solid black.
